Wanderlei Silva says he will not be retiring until he is at least 40 years old, following a move down to middleweight which has reinvigorated him and given him a new set of targets to aim for. The former PRIDE FC champion campaigned at light-heavyweight for most of his career but on moving to the UFC found himself outsized by contemporaries who were making big weight cuts, something he does not do.“I want to fight over six years, at least until I hit forty. This change of class was good, I had to re-educate myself on the food and I'm feeling pretty good about it,” Silva says in a print interview with Brazilian MMA magazine Tatame.
